Before any procedure or treatment, Dr. Hessler works with you closely to ensure that you are both on the same page, with a clear vision and treatment plan established to get the best results possible. This is why your initial consultation is so important. Dr. Hessler does all consultations herself, and is always happy to meet new patients.

What to do Before Your Consultation

No matter what type of procedure or treatment you’ve decided to have, we recommend taking plenty of time to research it yourself before your consultation with Dr. Hessler. Not only will this educate you on the procedure; it will also help you know what questions and concerns to voice during your appointment. Be sure to make a list of these questions and concerns as you research so that you don’t forget anything you want to bring up.

Don’t be afraid to ask anything — nothing is off limits when it comes to your body and health. It’s also a good idea to carefully and thoroughly examine the area you’re having treated before your consultation. Look at it on your own body, as well as in a mirror. Write down everything you want to change about this area so that it’s clear in your mind for your meeting. It’s also helpful to have photographs ready to show Dr. Hessler in regards to your aesthetic goals.

During the consultation

It’s very important during your consultation to have an open mind and to defer to Dr. Hessler’s expertise. She is a skilled and experienced plastic surgeon with a vast knowledge of how the procedures work in regards to a patient’s specific body and needs. She may recommend a completely different procedure that will better achieve the results you want.

We also suggest that you take notes during the consultation. This way, you can be sure that you don’t forget anything later that was stated. This can include important details such as pre- and post-procedure instructions. Dr. Hessler will go over your medical history, your questions and concerns, your physical habits and lifestyle, and your aesthetic goals.

She will perform a physical exam and will take you step-by-step through the entire process of the procedure that you decide on.
